All purchases sold at the auction become the buyer's responsibility as soon as the auctioneer says "sold".
Please move your goods to your vehicle ASAP.
Purchases are to be paid in full on the day of the sale and prior to your departure.
If a dispute arises between 2 or more bidders, the auctioneer will decide the dispute or resell the item.
All items are sold "as is, where is". The auction assumes no liability for any guarantee made by the seller.
Statements made on the day of the auction take precedence over previously written material.
When you register as a bidder, you are accepting our Terms of Sale, as listed above.
You will need a valid form of ID (such as Driver’s license, State ID, etc) to register as a bidder.
PA state sales tax is applied to select purchases. If you are sales tax exempt, a PA State Tax Exemption form must be filled out and submitted to the office.
We accept cash, check and credit cards (Visa and Master Card). There is a 3% administrative fee applied to purchases; the fee is waived if you pay by cash or check.
Please note this is a wholesale auction. In most cases the quantities for auction will be large amounts. Saturday sales tend to have smaller lot quantities, possibly making it more suitable for a homeowner.
General merchandise is bid by the piece; hay and straw by the ton; firewood by load; eggs by the dozen. Exceptions will be stated by the auctioneer at the time of sale.
Winning bids may not be resold privately on the KPA floor or premises.
No pets are allowed on KPA floor.
Items are sold by QUANTITY and are not normally separated when on carts or shelves. If you win a sale on a cart with 5 items, you will be charged PER item unless very specifically stated otherwise.
The auctioneers have a right to refuse sale to anyone NOT wearing their number badge CORRECTLY VISABLE OR a PROPERLY VIEWED number. Auctioneers do NOT always memorize numbers for repeat bidders and are not required to.
Just a reminder about the PA Department of Agriculture: Bureau of Plant industry Greenhouse/Nursery Dealer Certificate. The first file is a copy of one of the Plant Industry Inspection Technician, Kaleigh Grim. The second file is a copy of the Greenhouse/Nursery Dealer Certificate. There will also be copies of both in the Auction Office upon request Or on the website at www.paplants.pa.gov/reg under “Apply for a New License”.
